El Comité de Rehabilitacion de Antioquia is a non-governmental organization that was launched in 1972 at the San Vicente Foundation Hospital by its Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Ricardo Restrepo. Since then, El Comité has been committed to transforming the lives of people with disabilities, their families, and their communities. Its vision is to work in partnership with people with disabilities, families, strategic partners, and other key stakeholders to build an inclusive society using a rights-based approach. El Comité provides rehabilitation services and promotes inclusion to enable people with disabilities to attain optimal levels of independence, autonomy, and participation.
El Comité operates a development center for rehabilitation services, including the provision of assistive products, Additionally, it organizes a range of inclusion and academic events, including the Childhood and Disability Conference and the Annual Seating and Mobility Symposium. El Comité also manages community projects through its charitable foundation.
