Deadline for Service Partner Applications: July 1, 2019.

UCP Wheels for Humanity (UCP Wheels) is releasing its second Request for Applications (RFA) for eligible service provider organizations as described in the RFA linked below. To be eligible, service providers must provide at least 200 wheelchairs annually. Selected applicants will become CLASP Service Partners and will be eligible for a partnership of up to two years with UCP Wheels under the USAID-funded Consolidating Logistics for Assistive Technology Supply and Provision (CLASP II) project. The partnership is renewable on a yearly basis pending responsible provision of wheelchairs and the fulfillment of agreement obligations.

CLASP Service Partners are service provider organizations that have a demonstrated baseline service capacity for appropriate wheelchair service provision. They provide a visible model of quality service provision and their capacity and services are highlighted as part of broader CLASP efforts to promote the importance of appropriate provision.

Service Partners are selected using a competitive, two-phase process that is designed to assess their service capacity and quality among other criteria. The enclosed RFA and application, available here, are for the application phase of the selection process only. Successful applicants will be informed separately regarding a final interview phase.

CLASP Service Partners are prominently featured on the CLASP website, clasphub.org; linked to product buyers and donors that are interested in donating product to service providers with demonstrated capacity for appropriate service provision; and are eligible to receive donations and matched donations of assistive products available in the CLASP catalog.

Please circulate this update to service providers in your network who may be interested in applying. If you have any questions regarding this announcement, eligibility criteria, or the application process, please contact RFA@clasphub.org by June 10, 2019. Questions and responses will be posted to clasphub.org by June 12, 2019.
